Join our panel "Live music venues as hubs for new talent" starting this Friday, May 31st at 11:00 at CCCB in Barcelona, Spain

For the fifth year in a row, Liveurope is hosting activities at PrimaveraPRO in Barcelona, Spain to highlight the role of music venues, understand the needs of artists and allow our audiences to gain insight into the European aspect of the music sector.

This Friday, we once again welcome all those interested in concert venues, careers of emerging artists, and cultural policy for an hour of constructive discussions on what we can do and how we can work together to upon the successes of initiatives within the live music sector.

Panel Description

Liveurope was born out of a challenge: boosting the international careers of emerging European artists, by facilitating their touring opportunities in iconic venues all over the continent. Four years later, the results speak for themselves: there are now four times more new European artists playing shows in the Liveurope venues thanks to the support provided by the EU. What if we can reproduce and extend the “Liveurope” success story in hundreds of venues in Europe, and ultimately showcase dozens of thousands of emerging artists in all corners of Europe? At a time when the discussions on a dedicated European policy for music are moving forward, could such a scheme be strengthened and structured?

  • Maria Llad (Institut Ramon Llull)
  • Naiara Lasa (Sala Apolo, Liveurope Steering Committee Member)
