Meet us at Eurosonic 2016

Liveurope presented at Eurosonic Noorderslag (13–16 January 2016)

The key exchange and networking platform for European music, Eurosonic, is arranged again next January in Groningen, The Netherlands.  The festival presents showcases by more than 300 prominent up-and-coming artists, and attracts over 3,900 professionals in the music industry from all around Europe – including us.

For the second consecutive year, Liveurope is presented at Eurosonic 2016. For the panel discussion about what happened during the first twelve months of platform’s existence and what the future holds for both Liveurope and the emerging music scene of Europe, join the representatives of our four member venues: Dirk De Clippeleir (Ancienne Belgique, BE), Olivier Toth (Rockhal, LU), Steen Jorgensen (VEGA, DK), and Volker May (FZW, DE). The discussion is monitored by the platform coordinator Fabien Miclet.

So far Liveurope's journey has been successful: in cooperation with our member venues, over 900 up-and-coming European acts were either hosted or supported between October 2014 and October 2015. There has been a 23% increase in emerging European acts included in programming as well as a major increase in the nationalities represented. More facts and figures on 2015 can be found here. 

So, what's next? That's when we would like you to step in. After the panel, we organise a Q&A as well as an open discussion about the future actions of the platform. If you are a pro in your own field and have a thought or two about EU funding in music industry, do join us. Let's make this year even better than the previous one! The panel takes place on Thursday 14 at 15–16 (De Oosterpoort, panel room B3).

Furthermore, on Friday 15, all 13 Liveurope member venues get together for a closed brainstorming session to plan activities for year 2016.
