The cultural sector and the live music sector in particular are one of the first sectors that were severely hit by this unprecedented crisis. Below you will find a few initiatives that attempt to evaluate its impact, map the public measures taken against it, and take your mind off things. 

Measuring the impact of covid19 in the sector 

  • The European Creative Network has put up a survey to measure the impact in the CCIs. You can have access to it here
  • The European Music Council has put up a survey to measure the impact of covid19 in the music sector. You can have access to it here.

Stay strong, stay home: tips and entertainment provided by the most iconic European venues

  • What do music promoters do in times of lockdown? Book concerts of course!  BLÅ launched Brakkesyke (or Cabin Fever), a live streaming project on Facebook that gives the possiiblity to donate to the artists doing live performances. 
  • Sala Apolo is sharing its home essentials on social media: books, films, series, albums, comics that are easy to find online. 
  • Musicbox put up a soothing & relaxing playlist, sharing their own home essentials on Spotify

Looking ahead: how you can help your music venues get through the crisis 

  • Village Underground has set up a fundraising page for those who are able to donate. Any donation - large or small - will help the venue continue to operate once this unpredictable period is over.
