Liveurope platform meeting at SHARPE 2025

The SHARPE music festival & conference will host our first annual meeting of 2025, bringing together representatives from the Liveurope venues across Europe in Bratislava from 24-26 April.  

Hosted and organised by our Slovakian member Nová Cvernovka, SHARPE showcases the creativity of promising Slovak and international artists while also serving as a platform for education and networking. 

In times of democratic backsliding in Slovakia and other European countries, this is a critical time for supporting the protection of artistic freedom and cultural expression. Slovakia has recently experienced a rise in direct political interference in the appointment of key positions in cultural institutions and allocation of funding to independent organisations, putting at risk the very future of the local cultural sector. 

In this context, our visit to Slovakia is also a way to stand in solidarity with our Slovak colleagues in the culture and music sector, who have historically been at the forefront of the pro-democratic movement. 

After SHARPE wraps up in Bratislava, it will move on to Prague, where our member Palác Akropolis is hosting SHARPE Select on 26 April, offering Czech audiences a taste of the iconic Bratislava festival.
